Arlin Landis Detwiler
Arlin Landis Detwiler, 56, passed away February 25, 2019 while visiting friends and family here in Sarasota. He was born October 15, 1962 in Sauderton, Pennsylvania to Rhoda (Landis) Detwiler and the late Ralph G. Detwiler. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother Vernon. He is survived by six brothers and sisters: Gerald of Little Falls, NY, Henry of Sarasota, FL, Sarah Leister (Bill) of Wellsboro, PA, Faith Horst (Joseph) of Alturas, CA, Luke of KY, Hannah of Shippensburg, PA.
He attends Dove Westgate Church of Ephrata, PA and is a partner with Detwiler Roofing. He grew up on in Franconia, Pennsylvania and was a butcher by trade as a young man. Arlin loved the Lord and his family and enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening, dreaming, singing and traveling.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 35 years, Edith (Martin) Detwiler; children, Regina Ulrich and her husband Charles of Keen, Texas; Sharon Faith Stoltzfus and her husband Mike of Myakka City, Florida; Amos Julian Detwiler and his wife Jeanine of Pompano Beach, Florida; Rosa Martin and her husband John of East Earl, Pennsylvania; Marie Beiler and her husband Marvin of Gordonville, Pennsylvania; Titus Detwiler and his wife Brittney of Narvon, Pennsylvania; John Detwiler and his wife Crystal; Peter Detwiler, Anna Grace Detwiler, James Detwiler, Sara Joy Detwiler, Joel Daniel Detwiler and David Jeremiah Detwiler, all of New Holland, Pennsylvania; 19 grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren; six brothers and sisters: Gerald Detwiler of Little Falls, New York, Henry Detwiler and his wife Natalie of Sarasota, Florida, Sarah Leister and her husband Bill of Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, Faith Horst and her husband Joseph of Alturas, California, Luke Detwiler of Kentucky, Hannah of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania; and his mother, Rhoda Detwiler of Sarasota, Florida.
Services will be announced soon in Lancaster County Pennsylvania under the direction of Shivery Funeral Home in Paradise. Interment will take place in Weaverland Mennonite Cemetery in East Earl, Pennsylvania.
